Most travelers are/will be self-pay. Some have done fundraising to be able to travel. A limited amount of scholarship dollars are available for qualified applicants. Inquire about scholarships by emailing the Sister Cities Committee.

Mission:
A middle school or high school student delegate from Broomfield is a goodwill ambassador representing the City and County to promote international goodwill and friendship with the citizens of the hosting international partner cities.
Qualifications:
A middle school or high school student delegate from Broomfield is a goodwill ambassador representing the City and County to promote international goodwill and friendship with the citizens of the hosting international partner cities.
Qualifications:
- Be a resident of or a student of a school in the City and County of Broomfield, the child of a Broomfield employee, or a past participant in the sister city program
- Possess willingness and openness to learn new culture and make new friends
- Be physically and mentally fit to handle the rigor and stress of overseas travel and living with a host family in a foreign country
- Be willing to abide by basic group activity rules such as timeliness, honesty, respect towards others, and communicate well with others in the group, including chaperones
- Be a responsible person who can take care of self during a long international trip and living with a host family
- Possess a well rounded character to be a good will ambassador for the City and County
- Some foreign language skills may be a plus, but not necessary
